Andy, Thanks for your comments about George. His wife and he lived around the corner from my wife Sharon and me. We were both lawyers and had intersecting involvements with Beth Elohim. He had roots in classical Reform Judaism which we did not fully share. But, notwithstanding that, he expressed an openness to new, or perhaps more accurately, revisited approaches to Judaism.
As often happens, we moved from Park Slope and lost touch with them (and others). Thanks for your notes, which are both a memory and a blessing.
