On November 7 I was invited to be a guest on Bowdoin College campus. Faculty and students had invited me to present a talk which was called, “The Israel Hamas War: Making Sense of a Human Catastrophe.” Give it a listen and let me know what you think.
With special thanks to Marisa Mazria Katz for the recording production.
The talk was covered by the Bowdoin Orient, the campus’s student newspaper.
Excellent talk Andy. Forget the slogans, the 1 minute explainers and insta posts - read books, seek the truth and be honest with yourself and one another. It's so important to learn from, listen to and consider varied perspectives. Be well and thanks so much for sharing.
Since my son, Max Goldberg Liu, graduated from Bowdoin in 2011, I was thrilled that you gave a lecture there. I listened to you for many years at Congregation Beth Elohim, and was glad to listen to you again. Thank you for explaining so much of what I’m just beginning to understand about this trrrible time. I’m sharing the podcast with my family and friends and look forward to hearing more from you. Be well.
